Swine (H1N1) flu Suspect Visits GGH

GUNTUR: A 25-year old man, believed to be having symptoms of swine flu virus, visited the casualty wing of the Government General Hospital on Wednesday. But since the GGH was not equipped to covenant with such cases, he was referred to the Fever Hospital on Amaravathi Road.

This could be the first swine flu expect case in the district, but the the doctors allegedly stayed away from him citing lack of masks. The identity of the person could not be recognized.

Meanwhile, DMHO personnel established contact with four of five persons, co-passengers of a swine flu suspect. They are residing at Sattenapalli, Duggirala and Chilakaluripet. They were found to be in a healthy condition. The DMHO office has opened swine flu cell. The number is 0863-2271492.
